Helping you and your family reach and maintain good health is very important to WSP. We are pleased to offer a selection of benefits designed with your health and financial wellbeing in mind. We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees. Annual open enrollment is your opportunity to learn about the 2022-23 Benefits Program, review your current coverage and choose the best options for you and your family.
Open Enrollment Tasks:
- Attend the Open Enrollment Meeting on June 23 from 4-5pm and/or listen to the Recorded Open Enrollment Presentation to learn more about your benefits program and changes for 8/1/2022.
- View your employee benefits materials in the Benefits Overview section for all of your benefits program details.
- Follow the instructions in the How to Enroll section to complete your online enrollment.

Benefits Overview
WSP remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. We are implementing some changes and additions for the 2022-23 plan year, which we hope will be positively received by you and your families. Below are highlights of changes that will become effective on August 1, 2022. Please review your 2022-23 WSP Open Enrollment Employee Benefits Materials for information on all of your benefits.
2022-23 Benefits Program Highlights:
- BCBSM / BCN will be our new medical and prescription drug insurance carrier.
- You will have three plans to choose from: 1) PPO 750 2) PPO HSA 1400 and 3) HMO 1000
- Your hard copy BCBSM ID card will be mailed to your home address around the end of July.
- You can access your digital ID card as of 8/1 by registering your member account at bcbsm.com or the BCBSM Mobile App.
- Health Equity will be our new Health Savings Account administrator.
- View the Open Enrollment FAQ for details on your option to transfer your HSA funds from Optum Bank to Health Equity.
- You can choose to maintain your Optum Bank HSA; however, WSP will be posting HSA contributions with Health Equity beginning with the first pay period in August.
- BCBSM will be our new dental insurance carrier.
- Your hard copy BCBSM ID card will be mailed to your home address around the end of July.
- You can access your digital ID card as of 8/1 by registering your member account at bcbsm.com or the BCBSM Mobile App.
- NVA will continue to be our vision insurance carrier.
- BASIC will continue to be our Flexible Spending Account administrator.
- You must make an active election for the new plan year in order to receive any available rollover dollars from the prior plan year.
- Reliance Standard will continue to be our life and disability insurance carrier.
How to Enroll
Action Required:
- Visit the WSP Benefits Connection to review your current coverage and enroll for 2022-23.
- Your current elections WILL NOT carry forward to 2022-23 if you don't make a new election.
- You must make an active election, even if you're already participating or waiving coverage, no later than June 27th at 5:00 p.m.
Remember, this is the only time during the year that you can enroll in coverage or change your benefit elections, unless you have a qualifying event during the year. You have 30 days from the qualifying event date to notify HR to make the changes. Common life events are marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, and loss in coverage.
